Stillfield exists to make the rooms where people work better. To make great products for people’s home offices and workspaces. And then to get out of the way. Home offices are more than just desks. The surfaces, the storage, the sightlines, the lighting, and the small ergonomics all combine to create a space that allows people to work throughout the day until they start to feel loose and limber rather than cramped and stiff.
We started with one problem: the desk, covered in charging cables and lacking storage space. When we finally managed to clear the surface of that desk, we realized that other problems exist too: monitors are too low, storage is elsewhere in the home or office, there’s a flood of cables on the floor. So we widened our scope. Instead of cheap plastic solutions to a single problem, we look for well-made solutions to many problems. We test products in real workspaces and products that don’t last months are not included in our catalog. We don’t include products in our catalog because they are trendy, and we don’t include products in our catalog because they are easy to source.
We care about three things. First, we care that our solutions are unobtrusive and don’t draw attention to themselves when everything is working right. Second, we care that everything we offer is going to last a long time. That means something that won’t need to be replaced every year, something that’s really going to be durable and long lasting. And third, we care about service. We try to treat our customers with the respect that we would hope to receive, with free shipping on every order, 30 day returns on everything, and a real human being answering every email.
